FUND STRUCTURE

The Social Venture Fund consists of two legal entities. The Fund itself i.e the Social Venture Fund GmbH & Co. KG (LLP) and the Fund manager i.e the Social Venture Fund Management GmbH (Ltd.).

The Social Venture Fund GmbH & Co. KG, in which the capital of the investors is being administered, aims to invest in social ventures with the goal of market adequate financial returns on the capital invested. The Social Venture Fund Management GmbH is the fund manager and is responsible for the setting up of the fund, the fundraising and the investment decisions. The company itself is operated as a social venture. Although the Social Venture Management GmbH aims for the maximization of the social effect, it is economically independent and finances itself. For the fund management of the Social Venture Fund GmbH & Co., KG charges an annual management fee, which is dependent on the investment volume. The Social Venture Fund’s profit is continuously being re-invested for the further development of the venture.
