Johannes Weber, Managing Partner, Initiator

Johannes Weber began his career as an entrepreneur and has, amongst other things, founded and developed a career service for those with high potential. Following this he worked for a mutual fund company and became managing director in 2006. After a successful IPO of the holding company, he became involved with PANDA Investment Management, which is an investment company with a focus on sustainable investments and a former partner of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). Johannes sold PANDA Investment Management in 2008 and funded the Social Venture Fund in 2009. Johannes Weber is able to converse in five languages and was part of the NATO Kosovo Forces (KFOR) in Pristina, Kosovo in 1999. He is a graduate of the European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel and has also studied at the HEC in Lausanne. This is in addition to studying entrepreneurship and finance at the International Business School in Budapest.

Florian Erber has over 10 years of entrepreneurial and investment experience. At the beginning of his career he worked as a business consultant before joining Wellington Partners Venture Capital in 2000. Whilst at Wellington, one of the leading European VC companies, Florian Erber held the position of investment manager for High Tech Startups for five years. He then became managing director of sales, business development and field services in the EMEA region for the US High Tech Startup WhereNet (acquired by Zebra Technologies ZBRA). In 2008 Florian Erber became instrumental in the newly founded Munich based software company Aloqa and successfully executed the Series A financing as CFO. He studied electrical engineering at the Technical University in Munich and the ENSTE Toulouse, France. Additionally, he holds an MBA from the TU Munich and the University of California, Berkeley.
Alexandra Irrgang, Investment Manager

Alexandra Irrgang has many years experience in Investment Banking and Private Equity. She started her career in the M&A and Corporate Finance division of Goldman Sachs & Co. in Frankfurt working on multiple IPOs and M&A transactions. Later she worked as Investment Manager with General Atlantic Partners, a global private equity firm providing capital and strategic support to growth companies in Information Technology. Lastly, she acted as advisor to Bayerische Landesbank, at the time, largest shareholder in SLEC Holdings Ltd. (Formula 1) on the restructuring, strategic alignment as well as on the sale of the participation to a large Private Equity Firm. She also served as Director on several boards of the Formula One Group of Companies. Alexandra Irrgang studied Economics at the Ludwig Maximilians University, Munich and holds an M.A. in International Relations of the School of Advanced International Studies (S.A.I.S.) of the Johns Hopkins University, Bologna / Washington D.C.

Angela Brandenburg has over 20 years of wide ranging experience in global capital markets. Her career in the financial world started at BHF Bank where she advised mostly foreign institutional clients with their bond investments. During the past 13 years she has been and still is a consultant to a financial advisory firm based in Frankfurt where she advises European institutional clients on global trends for the purpose of equities, debt, currency and commodity trading. Angela Brandenburg graduated from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. with a degree in International Affairs. She speaks German, English, French and Italian.

Arne Kröger, Analyst

Arne Kröger has comprehensive experience in the fields of social entrepreneurship and non-profit management. In addition to his work with the Social Venture Fund, he is completing his doctorate in social entrepreneurship/ social venture capital as the Chair for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management at the Leibniz University of Hannover. He presents his research results at academic conferences in Oxford and New York and wrote his diploma theses about income strategies of social enterprises. During his period of study in the field of business administration at the University of Hamburg, Arne Kröger was involved in an aid development project in Sri Lanka for three months and served as president of the AIESEC local committee in Hamburg. He aquired further management knowledge through internships, including placements at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the department of Business Recovery Service, at ZRE Katowice SA in Poland and Airbus Germany.
